Hand Therapy

Ridgeview Hand Therapy services provide specialized treatment for upper-extremity dysfunctions that impact the elbow, wrist and hand. Both nonsurgical and surgical care is available for individuals ranging in age from infant to geriatric. Common conditions include but are not limited to:

  • Fracture/sprain/dislocation
  • Tendon injury/laceration
  • Nerve injury/laceration
  • Amputation/crush injury
  • Cumulative trauma/overuse
  • Tendonitis/tenosynovitis
  • Nerve entrapment
  • Arthritic conditions
  • Complex regional pain syndrome (RSD)
  • Neurological deficit

Staff with specialized training in the care of the hand, including those with credentialing as certified hand therapists, is available. Therapists are experienced in working collaboratively with metro-based hand surgeons to provide local follow-up care. A variety of splinting, modality, education, home programs and clinical techniques are utilized in treatment.
