Raed Abdelhadi, MD, FACC

Dr. Abdelhadi is an electrophysiologist who diagnoses and treats abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). He performs pacemaker and defibrillator procedures as well as complex ablation procedures.

 

Jason Alexander, MD, FACS, RPV

Dr. Alexander is a vascular and endovascular surgeon who treats arterial and venous diseases using surgical and minimally invasive approaches. He manages abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid disease for stroke prevention and treats varicose veins. He performs many of these procedures at Ridgeview Medical Center on an outpatient basis.

 

Said Alsidawi, MD

Dr. Alsidawi is a general cardiologist who manages patients with different aspects of heart diseases. He enjoys talking to patients and listening to their medical issues and social life. He has a special interest in managing patients with different valve diseases. He completed advanced training at Mayo Clinic in the management of complex valve disorders. His research interests are mainly studying aortic valve disorders and bicuspid aortic valves.

 

M. Nicholas Burke, MD

Dr. Burke is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in the treatment of coronary artery disease. He performs coronary angiography, heart catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventions. He is particularly interested in complex percutaneous interventions and opening chronically occluded coronary arteries.

 

Alex Campbell, MD

Dr. Campbell is a general cardiologist who strives to prevent, diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of cardiovascular diseases in a personalized, evidence-based manner.

 

Alan (Ty) Harrison, PA-C

Ty Harrison has been practicing as a physician assistant since 1997 and has been with the Minneapolis Heart Institute since 2004. His clinical interests include congestive heart failure management, atrial fibrillation, ischemia heart disease and anticoagulation issues. Ty partners with his patients to discuss and develop a treatment plan that combines current guidelines with his patients' personal preference.

 

Joseph Karam, MD

Dr. Karam is a vascular and endovascular surgeon. His professional interests in vascular surgery include cerebrovascular disease, aneurysms and dissections, peripheral arterial disease, hemodialysis access, venous disease and thoracic outlet syndrome.

 

Michael Miedema, MD, MPH

Dr. Miedema is a preventive cardiologist and researcher. His clinical interests include individuals with high cholesterol and those with a family history of heart disease. His research focuses on determining who should and should not take preventive medications and the value of a heart healthy diet.

 

 

Marc Newell, MD, FACC, FSCCT

Dr. Newell is a general cardiologist who enjoys patient care, including systems of care and how to deliver care in a patient centered fashion. His clinical and research interests include telehealth, advanced cardiovascular imaging, heart attack and echocardiography.

 

Nedaa Skeik, MD, FACP, FSVM, RPVI

Dr. Skeik specializes in vascular medicine. He prevents, diagnoses and treats vascular disorders including arterial, venous and lymphatic diseases. His interests include wound care as well as providing the most current patient care in all fields of vascular medicine.

 

Ashenafi Tamene, MD

Dr. Tamene is a general cardiologist who has interests in a wide range of cardiovascular diseases, including valvular heart disease, heart failure, heart rhythm problems and coronary artery disease. He is also focused on the use of imaging modalities such as echocardiography and nuclear imaging for the diagnosis of heart disease.

Phil Weber, PA-C, MPH

Phil is a board certified physician assistant with professional interests in chronic cardiovascular disease management and vascular disease, including chronic wound management and state-of-the-art, minimally invasive interventions. He also has special interests in preventive and global health care delivery.
