2021 Golf & Taste Celebration Recap
June 21, 2021
Many thanks to the more than 500 community members, sponsors, volunteers and vendors who participated in the 36th Annual Golf & Taste Celebration on Monday, June 21, 2021. Together, we raised $850,000 for our ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts.
Ridgeview, like all other hospitals and health care systems across the country, faced steep declines in revenue due to the pandemic. That’s why your philanthropy is a crucial component to ensuring Ridgeview can keep care close to home, when our community members need it the most.
Your support makes such an impact, and we are grateful for your participation in our 36th Annual Golf & Taste Celebration.

We’re getting use to wearing masks, social distancing, staying home and spending holidays away from our loved ones – we don’t like it, but we’re getting used to it. Some of us have been sick and some of us have lost loved ones. These are the unfortunate realities of life in the midst of a pandemic.
For hospital systems like Ridgeview, the “new normal” has meant testing thousands and hospitalizing hundreds of sick and grieving with the dying. It’s meant spending millions on infrastructure to make sure that our patients are safe, not only COVID-19 patients, but those in need primary or specialty care. It’s meant shutting down elective medical procedures for weeks due to regulatory mandates, or because we needed the space to care for more ill patients. It’s meant less revenue for the hospital and department closures, workforce reductions, and reduced pay for its employees.
Despite all the hardship, Ridgeview’s doors have remained open 24/7/365. Ridgeview’s brave healthcare providers have not wavered and the hospitals and clinics have remained safe havens for the residents of the western corridor.
We’re going to come out of this, maybe soon. We are going to return to the “old normal” and we can’t wait! Will you help Ridgeview until that day comes?
We come to you every year, our best friends, and ask for help. Usually we ask for your help funding a piece of lifesaving equipment or the renovation of our physical plant to enhance the patient/family experience. This year, in the midst of a pandemic, we ask for your help to keep up the fight against COVID-19.
Please consider helping us serve patients who are in times of their greatest need. Help us procure valuable PPE and equipment to help keep our doctors and nurses safe. Help us distribute the vaccine to all who are willing to accept it. Help us insure our facilities are safe for healthy and sick patients alike.
