Dr. Darabi's practice encompasses the full range of skin diseases, skin cancer prevention and surgical treatment of skin cancer, including Mohs surgery. His additional expertise in skin pathology allows him to be clinician and pathologist in the same person and render the highest quality of dermatological care by correlating the clinical presentation with skin biopsy findings to arrive at an accurate diagnosis.
Mohs surgery is a highly effective treatment for certain types of skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. During the procedure, the Mohs surgeon removes the cancer one layer at a time until all the cancer has been removed, resulting in less damage to the healthy skin around it. For more information about this procedure, visit Mohs Surgery.
