Nurse Technician Program for Nursing Students

Ridgeview’s Nurse Technician Program offers nursing students on-the-job training, mentorship and support as they prepare for the NCLEX.

This program is offered to nursing students completing their senior year clinical rotation or summer internship at Ridgeview. Upon passing the NCLEX, participants will transition into a registered nurse (RN) role at Ridgeview. Additionally, they will be enrolled in Ridgeview’s Nurse Residency Program for new graduates.

A nurse technician performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of an RN. The designated tasks are those which have been taught in nursing school and/or orientation and in which competency has been demonstrated within the limitations imposed by state law for unlicensed personnel.
