Virtual Care

Many dermatological appointments can be scheduled as a virtual visit. Virtual visits are limited to one concern per visit. Photos are required for all visits and must be uploaded to MyChart before your virtual visit begins.

Types of appointments eligible for a virtual visit:

  • Medication refills for an established condition
  • Discussion of treatment options following biopsy results
  • Diagnosis and treatment of the common concerns and conditions listed below

Conditions Eligible for a Virtual Visit

  • Acne or complexion concerns
  • Athletes foot (tineas pedis. May require follow up)
  • Blisters
  • Canker sores
  • Cold sores
  • Dandruff, itching scalp (seborrheic dermatitis)
  • Dermatitis
  • Diaper dermatitis
  • Eczema
  • Effudex (follow-up visit with photos at peak and current)
  • Eyelid dermatitis
  • Folliculitis
  • Hair loss (follow-up visit)
  • Hives
  • Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Hypopigmentation
  • Impetigo
  • Insect bites
  • Intertrigo (body fold rashes)
  • Itching (pruritis)
  • Jock itch (tinea curis)
  • Lichen planus (may require follow up)
  • Moles/skin cancers (follow-up visits, however, may require further follow up or clinic visit)
  • Mouth rash (corner, angular perleche)
  • Perioral dermatitis
  • Psoriasis
  • Rashes (may require follow up)
  • Ringworm (tinea)
  • Rosacea
  • Shingles
  • Skin infections
  • Skin rashes
  • Tinea Versicolor

Please note: If you have worsening or changing mole/skin condition or a bleeding lesion you will be sent to triage.
