Ridgeview paramedics receive Life Saving Awards for rescue on Crow River
On June 22, 2017, a man paddle boarding in the Crow River in Watertown fell off his paddleboard and was unable to swim out of the rapids. The quick actions of Jim Gilchrist and Steve Noll, paramedics, Ridgeview Ambulance, saved his life. Responding to the emergency call, Gilchrist and Noll were able to throw a rope to the man and pull him safely to the shore.
Gilchrist and Noll were honored for their efforts by receiving Life Saving Awards at the annual Carver County Sheriff’s Office Recognition Night April 17.
