Roaring ’20s Under the Harvest Moon event raises more than $250,000 for Ridgeview Foundation
Waconia, Minn. (Dec. 2, 2013)—More than $250,000 was raised at Ridgeview Foundation’s Roaring ’20s Under the Harvest Moon event, held Nov. 23 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska.
All funds are supporting Ridgeview Foundation’s effort of raising endowment funds and capital gifts to help secure Ridgeview Medical Center’s future. The Every Moment Counts campaign has been launched to help Ridgeview continue to provide the highest level of health care and to help achieve better outcomes for patients and families.
“Our focus on endowment fundraising is really the next logical step for Ridgeview. At this critical time in the life of our organization, almost 100 percent of Ridgeview’s net revenue is required to maintain operations, leaving a very small percentage to invest in technology, facilities and new services. Thanks to the ongoing generosity of so many wonderful people in our community, fundraising events like the Harvest Moon event will have a direct impact on the level and sophistication of health care that Ridgeview can provide,” said Ridgeview Foundation Vice President Doug Stasek.
More than 320 people attended the event, which included prizes for best 1920’s costumes and a live auction with co-emcees and auctioneers Frank Vascellaro and Amelia Santaniello from WCCO-TV. Nearly 30 volunteers worked collaboratively to organize and raise funds for the event.
