Ridgeview Medical Center named among Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience by WomenCertified®
9/23/11—Ridgeview Medical Center has been named one of the celebrated Top 100 Hospitals for Patient Experience by WomenCertified®.
Hospitals are selected for this prestigious annual list based on a proprietary scoring process that incorporates data from the national, standardized HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey results along with a higher level of analysis that weighs criteria identified as the most important to women for patient satisfaction. The survey process is based on significant in-depth research on customer satisfaction among women, including a joint study on customer satisfaction by gender with The Wharton School.
Based on this scoring process, Ridgeview ranked 16th on the Top 100 List. “Ridgeview is proud to be recognized as a Top 100 Hospital for Patient Experience and a Women’s Choice Award recipient. Patient-centered care is at the core of the ‘Ridgeview experience,’ and this award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Robert Stevens, president and CEO of Ridgeview Medical Center.
In order to make the Top 100 list, reflecting the voice of female patients, hospitals must meet all the qualifications for the WomenCertified® Women’s Choice Award.
Delia Passi, CEO of Medelia, Inc. and founder of WomenCertified®, stated, “Women make or influence over 90% of all healthcare decisions for themselves and their families. Recognizing the top hospitals nationwide that are women friendly and align with women’s identified preferences is important to our mission at WomenCertified®, where we are women helping women make smart choices.”
