Ridgeview Foundation Receives $350,000 Grant from Otto Bremer Trust to Expand Cardiology Services
Funding will support enhanced access to advanced heart care at Ridgeview’s Waconia campus
Ridgeview Foundation has received a $350,000 grant from the Otto Bremer Trust to support the expansion of Ridgeview’s cardiology services at its Waconia campus, helping ensure patients across the region have access to timely, high-quality heart care close to home.
The grant is part of Otto Bremer Trust’s strategic grantmaking, which supports organizations working to strengthen communities and improve quality of life across the Upper Midwest.
In partnership with Minneapolis Heart Institute, Ridgeview’s cardiology program has experienced significant growth over the past two decades, expanding from two cardiologists in 2007 to a team of seven board-certified cardiologists today. As demand for services has increased, existing clinic space has reached capacity.
“This generous support from the Otto Bremer Trust allows us to take the next critical step in meeting the growing need for heart care in our community,” said Kelly Mulleady, Executive Director, Ridgeview Foundation. “By expanding our cardiology services, we can ensure more patients receive timely diagnoses and treatment without having to travel far from home.”
The expansion project will include:
- Expanded outpatient clinic space at the Ridgeview Professional Building to accommodate increased patient volumes
- Enhanced imaging services to support advanced diagnostics
- Modernized outpatient procedure spaces aligned with the shift toward ambulatory cardiac care
Ridgeview recently invested in a NAEOTOM Alpha photon-counting CT scanner, bringing leading-edge cardiac imaging technology to the region. Expanding clinic and diagnostic spaces will allow Ridgeview to further leverage this technology, improving early detection and diagnostic precision.

The outpatient cardiology clinic at Ridgeview’s Waconia campus will expand from approximately 2,476 square feet to nearly 7,000 square feet, significantly increasing capacity for patient visits and improving care delivery. The expansion is expected to enable at least 2,500 additional patient visits in the first year, with continued growth anticipated.
