Ridgeview President and CEO Mike Phelps recognized by Minnesota Hospital Association

Portrait of Mike PhelpsRidgeview President and CEO Mike Phelps was recently recognized with a “Spirit of Advocacy” award by the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) during MHA’s Annual Meeting.

Phelps was among 40 teams and individuals from across the state to be recognized by MHA for their work to strengthen health care in Minnesota, and one of four individuals to receive the “Spirit of Advocacy” honor. Other Advocacy honorees were Carrie Michalski, RiverView Health; Trevor Sawallish, North Memorial Health; and Rachelle Schultz, Winona Health. Phelps also serves on the MHA Board of Directors and is the chair of its Policy and Advocacy committee.

The MHA awards honor efforts that advance sustainability, quality and safety, and innovation in the state’s hospital and health systems. MHA also recognized hospital volunteers, trustees and state lawmakers for their dedication to supporting the health of Minnesota communities.

“These awards highlight the dedication of Minnesota’s hospital and health system staff, trustees and partners to improving the health of our communities,” MHA President and CEO Dr. Rahul Koranne said. “Their efforts are improving patient outcomes in communities across our region, supporting caregivers and preparing our health system for challenges ahead.”
