Ridgeview is in need of veterans to serve as hospice volunteers

Are you or is someone you know a military veteran who is interested in volunteerism? Ridgeview’s Hospice Program is registered as a “We Honor Veterans” partner. The hospice team works with local veteran agencies to find services and resources available for veteran patients. Ridgeview Hospice is serving an increasing number of veterans in its communities and these patients may benefit from the support of other veterans.

Hospice volunteers need to be 18 years of age, be able to provide their own transportation, and be willing to complete general volunteer orientation followed by hospice training. The next hospice training is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska in the third floor conference room. Initial orientation steps and independent study portions of hospice training need to be completed prior to the March 14 training day. To learn more, contact Sharon Schreiner at 952-777-4190, or email
