The Environmental Leadership Award from Practice Greenhealth is the highest award given to health care organizations for outstanding environmental performance and achievements in energy conservation, waste reduction and leadership in the development of benchmarking standards for the industry.

Ridgeview was also Minnesota’s first health care facility to be part of Healthy Environment's (H2E) Top Environmental Leadership Circle. To be considered, health care organizations must meet the criteria for the Practice Greenhealth Making Medicine Mercury-Free award, recycle at least 25 percent of their total waste and have implemented numerous and innovative pollution prevention programs.

Governor's Award for Excellence in Waste & Pollution Prevention / 2003
The Governor's Awards recognize organizations that focus on preserving and enhancing the environment through innovative pollution and waste prevention, resource efficiency, and practices. Ridgeview won this award for its Phosphorus Management Plan.
