Whether it’s treating allergies or ear infections, or helping young patients and their families cope with chronic disorders like asthma or diabetes—caring for children is one of our highest priorities. Our pediatricians, family physicians and nurses provide a full range of high-quality services to help children—from newborns to teenagers—grow up healthy.
Inpatient Pediatric & Young Adult Unit
We care for the whole family. Ridgeview Medical Center’s dedicated pediatrics team is known for high-quality, family-centered care.
While other hospitals are downsizing and even eliminating pediatric areas, we are committed to providing a full range of children’s services—including neonatal care, medical and surgical services, orthopaedics and critical and emergency care.
Hospital stays can be scary for kids and parents. Our pediatricians, family physicians and specially trained pediatric nurses work to reduce fears by giving children and their families sensitive, personalized care. Moms and dads are always welcome in the unit, day or night. And we make sure that we share detailed information about your child's care plan.
To help families prepare for the in-hospital experience, we take the whole family on a hospital tour prior to a child’s actual stay. In fact, many children visit Ridgeview will before becoming a patient. Through our close relationship with area schools, over 2,000 elementary school children tour Ridgeview Medical Center each year to learn more about what hospitals do and what it’s like to be a patient.
