A reputation for excellence and extraordinary service.

The Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home

At times, hospice patients may need more care than what can be provided at home. The Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home is the first residential hospice in the west-metro suburbs to provide Medicare-certified general inpatient and respite care, in addition to daily hospice services to hospice patients and their families.

Focused on the unique needs of each patient, the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home offers an exceptional environment and the highest-quality care. (Check out our virtual tour below.)

Compassionate Caregivers
The Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home has an extraordinary staff of professional caregivers who work together to provide the highest level of comprehensive and compassionate hospice care. The Hospice team is comprised of physicians, a hospice medical director, nurses, social workers, a chaplain, hospice aides, music and massage therapists, a nutrition coordinator and specially trained volunteers.

Natural Environment & Design
Situated on a hill overlooking Lake Bavaria in Chaska, the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home offers a peaceful, natural setting which includes mature trees and garden areas. The design and construction focuses on respect for the environment. Local design teams and construction crews donated their work as in-kind gifts.

Energy Star windows and appliances, and a geothermal heating and cooling system provide patients and guests comfort and will help save on future energy costs. Ridgeview Medical Center is a member of Practice Greenhealth, a national membership association devoted to environmentally responsible health care. Ridgeview has also been recognized as a sustained member of the Environmental Leadership Circle.

A Community-Built Hospice Home
The Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home has been funded by generous donors in the Ridgeview community. The Hospice Home is located on a beautiful three-acre site that was donated by the City of Chaska.

A generous lead gift from Paul and Sheila Steiner of Waconia named the home in memory of Paul's sister, Marie Steiner Kelting. The Steiner family wish is that families will enjoy the beauty and comfort of this Hospice Home.

Paying for Care
Hospice services provided by the interdisciplinary team, medications and equipment related to the life-limiting diagnoses are covered by the Hospice Medicare Benefit, Medicaid and most private insurance plans. Daily residence fees are the responsibility of the patient and family.
