Waconia, Minn. (June 13, 2012)—Ridgeview Clinics is offering free health assessments to area residents during the Mound Centennial Wellness Weekend celebration. The screening event will be held on Friday, July 13, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ridgeview Westonka Clinic, 4695 Shoreline Drive, Spring Park.
Each appointment will include the following health assessments:
· Height, weight/body mass index (BMI) measurements
· Blood pressure check
· Total cholesterol (including HDL, LDL and triglycerides)
· Fasting blood sugar
For accurate total cholesterol and blood sugar readings, participants must fast for at least 8 hours before their screening appointment.
All individuals must register with Ridgeview Clinics in advance by calling 952-442-8083 and must have an e-mail address to participate.
Screening participants must create a Family Health Manager account and complete the online health assessment prior to their scheduled appointment. The assessment is available at health.ridgeviewmedical.org and includes questions about nutrition, exercise and lifestyle.
Ridgeview Clinics staff will review the results with participants and provide wellness care resources and recommendations to improve health and fitness, including Ridgeview’s Family Health Manager.
