The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® brings together more than 3.5 million people across the United States each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, to remember loved ones lost and to fight back against the disease. International Relay For Life events are now held in communities spanning 19 countries outside of the United States.
Ridgeview sponsors three Relay For Life events this spring and summer, and is supporting the cause by donating 1,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to each of the following events:
When the sun goes down, hundreds of luminaria light the way under the stars, and a moment of silence occurs during a ceremony of remembrance. The luminaria are glowing paper bags filled with sand and candles, and each one represents a life that has battled cancer. The luminaria ceremony is a time to remember those lost to cancer, support those fighting the disease, and celebrate with those who have survived.
