Ridgeview Medical Center is committed to providing adults in the west-metro area with a comprehensive network of quality cancer care services. Preventive services including community health education and screenings, as well as diagnosis, treatment and support services, are all conveniently located within the same block.
For more than a decade, Ridgeview's comprehensive Cancer Care Program has received approval from the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer. Nationwide, only one in four cancer care programs achieves this recognition.
The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted Three-Year Approval with Commendation to the Oncology service line at Ridgeview Medical Center.
This status is given only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to providing the highest level of quality cancer care, and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.
Ridgeview's Oncology Program is one of just 18 approved cancer programs in Minnesota. Only about 25 percent of all hospitals in the United States have CoC-approved programs, which diagnose and/or treat 80 percent of newly diagnosed cancer patients each year.
